In this video I show you how I put together my DIY bed lift in my Ram Promaster van build out. I discovered this cool idea from Drifter Journey's build and I modified it to suite my needs. Drifter Journey needed a smaller lift to fit their bikes in their garage and I wanted a larger lift to build a lounge/workstation area underneath my bed when it is lifted. I used actuators with a 22" stroke and DJ used a 12" stroke.

In this video I explain how I built and installed a ~$200 roof rack for my 159" Ram Promaster using brackets from DIYVan.com, unistrut, unistrut nut inserts, 90 deg brackets, etc. Most manufactured roof racks for this van can cost upwards of 2 thousand dollars. Also cut my own brackets to mount solar panels. I used a piece of angle aluminum and cut brackets to size, then bolted them to the panels and used self tapping screws with blue thread lock to mount them to the unistrut.
